Por un lado, el mercado ferretero llevaba desde 1890 -fecha en que lleg\u00f3 el primer barril de cemento a M\u00e9xico- comprando su inventario de la misma manera, con una \u00fanica innovaci\u00f3n mayor que hab\u00eda sido el tel\u00e9fono. Por otro lado, T\u00dcL llevaba en el mercado menos de un a\u00f1o y el mundo estaba en medio de una pandemia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A pesar de la cercan\u00eda de T\u00dcL con la tambi\u00e9n colombiana Rappi, debido a que los fundadores de ambas empresas son hermanos que adem\u00e1s han construido sinergias importantes, la empresa tuvo el colosal reto de convencer a las grandes marcas del mercado mexicano, de creer en un nuevo modelo de negocio, que es altamente disruptivo, digital y novedoso en el continente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan Andr\u00e9s Ram\u00edrez, Gerente de Expansi\u00f3n, Asuntos P\u00fablicos y Responsabilidad Social de T\u00dcL, quien estuvo a cargo de la llegada de la empresa a nuestro pa\u00eds, abrir mercado en una potencia econ\u00f3mica como M\u00e9xico implica el mayor reto empresarial que una StartUp en edad temprana pueda enfrentar, dado el tama\u00f1o y complejidad del mercado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPara cualquier empresa latinoamericana M\u00e9xico es jugar en las grandes ligas, pero para una StartUp con meses de nacida es apostarle a la continuidad y futuro del negocio. Nuestra capacidad de domar este mercado es -literalmente hablando- una decisi\u00f3n de vida o muerte.\u201d Agreg\u00f3 Ram\u00edrez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antes de llegar a M\u00e9xico, T\u00dcL operaba ya de manera exitosa en 5 ciudades de Colombia y dos en Ecuador, atendiendo cerca de 4 mil ferreter\u00edas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoy d\u00eda la compa\u00f1\u00eda ya atiende a cerca de 500 ferreteros y trapaleros en la ciudad con una tasa de retenci\u00f3n del 75% lo cual quiere decir que de cada 7.5 ferreteros de 10 que conocen la aplicaci\u00f3n, vuelven a comprar, de forma completamente aut\u00f3noma montando sus pedidos en cualquier momento del d\u00eda y los recibi\u00e9ndolo en 24 horas, sin necesidad de m\u00ednimos de compra y sin cobro de la log\u00edstica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTenemos algoritmos propios de ruteo y log\u00edstica, que nos permiten tener costos de transporte que son un 50% inferiores a los del sector y que nos generan eficiencias que directamente transmitimos a nuestros clientes pues los mismos no pagan fletes al comprar con nosotros. Tenemos la distribuci\u00f3n no s\u00f3lo m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida del mercado sino la m\u00e1s eficiente y por lo mismo, las grandes marcas prefieren llegar a los ferreteros por medio nuestro.\u201d Agreg\u00f3 Ram\u00edrez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De igual forma, el vocero mencion\u00f3 que las ventajas competitivas que tiene la compa\u00f1\u00eda en gran medida es tecnolog\u00eda que se han logrado gracias al trabajo de 50 desarrolladores de distintas nacionalidades, en un modelo de trabajo flexible, con sueldos y condiciones de alt\u00edsima calidad laboral, poco comunes en la industria tecnol\u00f3gica actual. Al final del a\u00f1o, T\u00dcL espera duplicar este n\u00famero de tecn\u00f3lolgos para llegar a 100, de los cuales la empresa espera que varios sean talento local.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de la zona norte del Valle de M\u00e9xico, que es donde la empresa ha iniciado sus operaciones, se planea antes de finalizar este semestre expandir operaciones al sur oriente del Valle de M\u00e9xico y Ecatepec con la apertura de dos almacenes mas y as\u00ed, cubrir toda la Zona Metropolitana.
